VisitBritain is pleased to present Destination Britain North America. This event offers an unparalleled opportunity to meet and build relationships with our extensive network of key industry contacts across North America. The following information outlines further details on the programme.

One-On-One Appointments with key North American Buyers:

To maximise your time, we have organized a schedule of one-on-one appointments with key North American Buyers including wholesale product managers and owners & managers of travel agency chains. British suppliers will be seated at tables and given circa 11 minutes to present their product and discuss business opportunities. Buyers will rotate according to their personalised schedule. The programme will include two full days of prescheduled appointments. Canadian buyers will be joining the event in New York from Tuesday afternoon with their official first event being the Networking Dinner on Tuesday evening.  They will then be in attendance for one day of appointments on Wednesday.

Registration Fees & Inclusions:

Delegate Participation Fee: £2150 + VAT

Company Profile Registration Deadline: Tuesday July 5 2011

Registration Fee includes the following per location:

  • Attendance for one delegate
  • VIP reception with Britain Suppliers on Monday 26 September (USA buyers in attendance only. CAN buyers arrive Tuesday 27 September)
  • Welcome morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea on Destination Britain North America event days
  • Networking dinner on Tuesday night (Canadian buyers and media also in attendance)
  • Two full days of one-on-one pre-scheduled appointments
  • Buyer profile manual
  • Discounted airfares with Virgin Atlantic to/from USA
  • Wireless internet access for hotel guests within their rooms and in the hotel public space

Does not include:

  • International air travel to the United States
  • Domestic flights within North America
  • Hotel accommodation
  • Transfers to and from hotel
  • Parking at hotel
  • Personal expenses & incidentals
  • Shipment of brochures and presentation material
  • Travel insurance

The next step is to complete the online company profile no later than Tuesday July 5 2011 and complete payment in full within 30 days of receiving the invoice. This will then enable us to provide appointment scheduling information to the North American buyers.

Confirmation:

Your registration should already be confirmed. An automatic message will be sent to you at the completion of the company profile and payment form. Please pay in full within 30 days of receiving the invoice.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

Air Travel:

Virgin Atlantic is pleased to offer participants attending 2011 DESTINATION BRITAIN NORTH AMERICA a 10% discount on applicable published fares at the time of booking, in any one of their three award-winning cabins: Upper Class, Premium Economy, or Economy Class. This discount can also be applied to published sale fares, which may be in effect at the time of the booking, and is valid for travel to the USA from the UK between 22 September and 5 October 2011. All travel must be completed by 5 October 2011. All terms and conditions of the published fare apply, and will not be waived.

In order to book this offer, delegates need to:

2. Advise staff that they are a participant in the 2011 DESTINATION BRITAIN NORTH AMERICA conference
3. Provide the exact dates they want to travel

At the time of ticketing, Virgin staff will issue tickets with the appropiate code to ensure a 10% discount is applied.

Hotel Accommodation:

The venue for Destination Britain North America is the Eventi Hotel. We have negotiated the following rate for delegates.
Pre and post nights can also be reserved (based on availability). Please complete the accommodation booking form during the registration process. Note: All reservations are made through Anna Case - Meeting Planner. Please do not contact the hotel directly.

Giveaways

You are welcome to bring along giveaways for the North American Buyers' one-on-one appointment sessions – minimum 90 recommended.

Presentation Materials

We recommend that you bring portable presentation materials such as presentation folders; photographs and or any other materials that would best represent your product for these appointments. Please notify us during online registration if you will require power for computer/PowerPoint presentations.

Display Material

You will be seated at a small cocktail round style table for the Destination Britain North America forum (tables will be dressed with plain cloths). You can bring your own display materials: i.e. corporate table-cloths and display items. Pop-up displays and nomadic stands are not permitted as there is no space in the meeting rooms and VisitBritain will be featuring the corporate Britain-wide destination images. Visa to USA

From January 2009 the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) came into effect, making it mandatory for anyone wishing to travel to the USA on business or pleasure to submit their name, passport number and answer various questions to get up to 2 years travel authorization in the USA. Private Social Functions Policy

Private social functions are not permitted to occur during any official Destination Britain activity or element of the program. There are available time slots for you to host buyers outside of the official programme. Please refer to the schedule for timings. In accordance with North American business practice, your cooperation with this policy is appreciated and expected.
